1. The Man Who Couldn't Stop by David Adam - People who have two first names (or two last names) delight me. This book was rather less delightsome, being unable to make up its mind whether to be a mental-illness memoir or a pop-sci brain book. Both are solid options, but putting them together needed a bit more finesse.
2. Pogue's Basics by David Pogue - A handy reference about how to more successfully use computers/smartphones/cameras/tablets, for all the stuff that didn't osmos. My favorite tip is that ctrl+enter puts the .com suffix on a web address. His writing is engaging enough that it was a fun read-through, despite being a guide.
3. I Work at a Public Library by Gina Sheridan - An utter candy book, compiled from tumblr anecdotes. It may have been better left as a tumblr, due to the brief and unconnected nature of the stories. But truthfully, any effort at more books (no matter how silly) is a thing I support.
