Book review: Don't Try This at Home

I'm not really sure what to say about this one. It's short, it's kinda silly, it's full of swearing (who knew that chefs and cooks swear like theater kids?), it made me never want to work in a restaurant.

The format of this book is just a series of anecdotes, sometimes only two pages long, about various disasters (mostly later salvaged) that happen in professional kitchen. My person favorite/most gross was scooping up hollandaise sauce out of a car. Yeah. Also, yech.

So, there's that. Read it if, like me, your attention span is sometimes short [1] or are vaguely interested in kitchen horror stories. It's like ER horror stories, only less gross.

xo,
Devo
