Priorities

So, we moved. And only took what would fit in our small car - which means like, zero books. Okay, a few, one of which is Mort (the fancy one!) because one cannot live without Pratchett.

Our main tasks to accomplish upon arriving in this new place with no furniture and hardly any stuff, were, in order of importance: 1) Bed; 2) Internet; 3) Library cards. The public library system is the only reason I was willing to leave behind most of our (admittedly large) book collection - I knew that we could get our favorites on loan.

And after our first trip to the library, we came home with 4 Pratchett's. Because priorities.

And a non-fiction for me, Down and Out and Under Arrest, an ethnographic review of LA's Skid Row, both of the citizens and the police. Interesting enough, but a tad wordy, as ethnographies tend to be.
