I love Pratchett's writing, no secret there. He died today. Here are some of his words.

On priorities:

On hope: 

What good’s a god who gives you everything you want? … It’s the hope that’s important. Big part of belief, hope.

On fear:

In order to fear, you had to be a me. Don’t let anything happen to me. That was the song of fear.

On literary devices:

Going Up in the World is a metaphor, which…is like Lying but more decorative. 

On cooking:

Gumbo is one of those dishes, like stew, where it’s ridiculous to have a recipe. You just make it. 

On death.
